RANT: BEAWARE!

So, love me or hate me, I'm still going to say it:

Who else is totally weird-ed out by the fame of Twilight? I read the books when they FIRST came out (on;y the first 3, I gave up after that), and if you'd have asked me then I would have been 99.9% sure that these books would never even see the light of fame and now there are MOVIES!? Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's the worst thing ever, and I'm not a hater or anti-twilight I just don't give a damn and I don't get why people actually care about this stuff. Vampires have ALWAYS been over rated except in their cult followings. It's not hot, it's not attractive, and frankly, I wish people would get over their obsessions with finding a guy like Edward because it's NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. It makes me laugh... a lot when I hear about "team edward and jacob" because neither of these boys (BOYS NOT MEN!) are realistic or attractive (besides physically). I vote that everyone try to find men who are the OPPOSITE of their Twi-Fantasy. I have no problem with liking these books for what they are: ENTERTAINMENT, it's like soap operas and bad talk shows, they are a guilty pleasure... Am I going to see the movie? Probably, it looks ENTERTAINING. And I LIKE things that are entertaining. But beyond that, I'm out.

What has happened to this world that we actually create a pop culture phenomenon out of badly written novels? It just goes to show the level of desperation in our society, and maybe that's really the heart of it all: teen girls are shallow and desperate for something they know is unrealistic, and I think that's just sad.

RANT OVER. Comments are welcome. I usually don't post this kind of thing but New Moon has been a tranding topic on twitter for months, and this is what it comes down to.

On a note of my art, I WILL be continuing to post newer works as I have been but I am getting sick of self-portraits, so anyone that would like to vote for what I should do next, please comment with any suggestions of things you'd like to see from me. Love you all, thank you SO much for the support, I've been getting so many favs and comments especially on "shallow sunrise" which is a huge surprise because I wasn't too fond of that piece when I uploaded it but I'm so grateful for the feedback. I wish that I could respond to everyone's comments but I cannot so here is my THANKS to anyone who is reading this, who follows my work, and comments/favs. :heart: Love you all. Ciao.
